A Message From Emily:
Working on yourself and diving into the parts that are most vulnerable is very courageous and not always easy. Finding the right fit for you to explore your mental health is very important, so here is a little about me!
My name is Emily, and I am a Mental Health Therapist with a Master of Social Work degree, paired with a Child and Youth Worker Diploma. My therapeutic approach centers around building connection and creating a non-judgmental environment for individuals to feel comfortable and safe to explore their goals, mental health, and identity. I pride myself in meeting people where they’re at and allowing them to lead the process in moving towards feeling unstuck. I understand that feeling truly understood and supported are key elements for healing and growth. Therapy is your journey, and you are in the lead – I am happy to support as a guide alongside you on the path you choose. I thrive to help individuals develop the tools they need to support daily living and navigating any hardships they have faced.
I offer therapy to children, youth, and adults experiencing mental health challenges and/or coping with trauma. I also provide parenting and co-parenting counselling which includes psychoeducation on what your child may be experiencing, learning new strategies and coaching for co-regulation. I understand that family dynamics can play a large role in our world and healing journey and am here to support families as well.
